Gurdev bought some very lovely lamb from Blacker Hall Farm – he bought rack of lamb, a great cut of meat which had been beautifully prepared french trimmed (see pic) It was then cooked to perfection and served with home-made mint jelly. The meat was well seasoned with bags of flavour and simply prepared to allow the quality of the meat to shine.
For starters we had a great pate – beautifully coarse texture with lots of flavour. Roast veg accompanied the main meal almost steamed with a few crispy ones on top. Lovely!
Good company and fabulous wine, beautiful way to kick off the weekend!
