Another great dinner at Kendell’s last night. We had the early bird menu – or rather, we started off on the early bird and then went off piste with a la carte because we couldn’t resist – and as usual the food was superb and the service, as ever, on the money.
I had the boudin noir (French black pudding) for starter (from a market in Paris, apparently – it was deeply savoury and unavailable in the UK) and calves liver for main course – served pink – which melted in the mouth. Chips are de rigeur of course, twice fried if I’m not mistaken.
I tell everybody about the quality and service at Kendell’s and urge everybody to go there. Now.
