Budget breakfast in Leeds at Anthonys superb. Gurdev at the wheel, so in Helmsley before we knew it. The Feversham Arms our hostelry for the night was welcoming and as expected without complication. Jacki our receptionist making us feel as if it was our second home. A quick sojourn to the Star at Harome Andrew & Jacqie Pern’s little jewel. Greedy Dawn was already hungry; Anthony’s superb breakfast not enough for her. Roast beef lunch. Mussels. Colchester Oysters went down a treat with two pints of Black Sheep Bitter and a lovely Chablis. The open log fire a bonus. Nearly left without seeing magnificent extention; a contemporary addition worthy of a return trip. Guess what, The Perns have now acquired the Pheasant Hotel; a mere meat bones throw away. It doesn’t open until 1st April but we should be there.
More to come.
Breakfast at Anthony’s, lunch at the Star and dinner at the Feversham?!?
This surely is a Globe Troffer gastronomic record! Good work and I look forward to hearing about dinner…yours enviously P&Jx
