Well it has certainly been one of those weeks – not had time to do anything than work, eat, drink and sleep. Therefore not much to review on the Troffers front in terms of dining out experiences.
We made up for that with a lovely dinner down at Paul and Carol’s in Calverley. It was very welcome after I spent all of Saturday (and half of Sunday as it turned out) building wardrobes and swearing.
Paul’s no slouch in the kitchen and we were treated to a real feast:
Starter – home made parsnip, chestnut and apple soup served with warmed rolls.
Main – rolled and stuffed shoulder of lamb, slow oven roasted served with dauphinoise potatoes, green beans and pan fried balsamic tomatoes.
Desert – home made tarte au citron
Cheese – supplied by the Deanos came from the Cheeseboard in Harrogate – Munster covered in cumin seeds, stilton and an amazingly ripe French Goats cheese.
All in all a fabulously enjoyable evening in great company – as ever the quality of the food was right up there.
