Stonehenge Spring Ale

At the book club in the Victoria and Family public house on Great George Street, Leeds.

First pint ordered (Leeds Best, from our very own Leeds Brewery) was off, so I opted for a pint of Stonehenge.

“It’s green, you know” warned the barmaid.

I didn’t mind I replied. But it wasn’t just a hint of emerald, oh no. Vivid Shrek ale would have been a good name for it. The bizarre thing was it tasted just like regular golden bitter albeit quite fresh and hoppy, more like a light ale actually.
