The Pine Martin, Harrogate. 28/4/09

I had a working lunch at  The Pine Martin with a couple of business colleagues, as we entered the car park the sign stated “Country Pub and Eating House” which picked my curiosity. The building is quite stately outside and inside there were quite a few rooms with open entrance to each other thereby making a big place still feel contemporary snug. Wooden floors and stylish furniture meant a relaxed feel. Between the three of us we decided to share a combination of nibbles, starters and one main. Dishes were, antipasto, baked Camembert, crusty squid, goats cheese and spit chicken. Everything had EXCELLENT accompaniments but particular mention must go to the best balsamic onions I’ve ever tasted!

We had water and one bottle of wine which was Trinity Hill(New Zealand), the same wine I had at Bleeding Heart in the City BUT where we paid £75 for a bottle it was £24 in Harrogate……….

A good find so if in Harrogate I would recommend a visit.
