Saffron

Sunday 27th September

The morning after the excellent night before (at D&G’s) Tony and I had to travel to York to oversee the leaving of one set of tenants and preparation for the next. Thinking there might be a fair bit to do, we decided to stay in York overnight and on Jessica’s advice went to Saffron for a curry.

For starters we had lamb chops and  veggie pakoras. Chops okay but we have had better. The pakoras were good.

We followed with Balti Machli with Haddock. Flavour good but fish too shredded for our taste and Chicken Keema Masala (we think) The naan bread made the table look small and we were completely overfaced, but the food was good as was the service and general ambience of the place.
