Peninsula Hotel, Singapore

Went to the twentysomething floor for Afternoon tea on 13th September. This consisted of slices of processed cheese in a croissant. small selection of sandwiches and some rather “tough” scones, a couple of cakes and some petit fours. The service was rather slow but staff very pleasant. We were the only ones in there and got the impression that “Afternoon tea” wasn’t really their forte. So we retired to the Long Bar in Raffles and quaffed the obligatory Singapore Slings but managed to miss happy hour

  1. Always the best policy when in those situations … retreat to the bar. Well done Jill, off to a flying start (excuse the pun!!).
    Hope to see you soon.
